On March 14 and 15, 2026, over 170 young musicians from international schools across the region gathered in Panyu, Guangzhou, for the ACAMIS Honor Band Music Conference—a celebration of musical excellence, collaboration, and the universal language of music. UISG students took part in the event, not only as dedicated ensemble members but also as featured performers who brought a different kind of energy to the stage.
Over the two days, UISG musicians joined peers from ACAMIS Southern Regional Schools to prepare and perform a diverse repertoire under the guidance of experienced conductors. The concert, titled “Around the World in 80 Bars,” featured pieces ranging from the Chinese classic “Dan Yuan Ren Chang Jiu” to the Latin-flavored “Prelude 和 Fiesta”. Among the highlights, “Golden”—an uplifting arrangement by Paul Murtha—resonated most deeply, carrying a powerful message of resilience and pursuing one’s dreams.

The excitement reached another peak during the Saturday evening dinner, when METAPHASE, a student rock band from UISG, was specially invited by the ACAMIS organizers to perform. Made up of dedicated Grade 11 students who balance demanding academics with a strong commitment to music, the band delivered an energetic four-song set that quickly captivated the audience. Their performance included “Hard Times” by Paramore, “Sugar” by Maroon 5, “Shut Up 和 Dance” by WALK THE MOON, and “Live While We’re Young” by One Direction—each song showcasing their dynamic stage presence and polished teamwork.

But the evening wasn’t over yet. After their set, the vocalists of METAPHASE remained on stage to join the host school’s house band for an impromptu collaboration. Together, they performed “Hotel California” by The Eagles. Despite little time to rehearse, the musicians blended seamlessly, creating a powerful moment that demonstrated how music connects performers across different schools and backgrounds.
From their dedicated participation in the Honor Band to their show-stopping rock performance, UISG students made their mark at the ACAMIS conference—proving that with passion, preparation, and teamwork, young musicians can create truly unforgettable moments.

2026年3月14日至15日，来自区域内各国际学校的170多名青年音乐学子齐聚广州番禺，参加ACAMIS Honor Band音乐大会。这是一场关于音乐卓越、合作精神与音乐这一通用语言的庆典。UISG的学生不仅作为乐团成员全情投入，更有一支乐队作为特邀表演者登上舞台，为大会带来了别样的活力。
在这两天里，UISG的学子们与ACAMIS南部地区学校的同伴们一起，在经验丰富的指挥指导下，共同排演了一套风格多元的曲目。音乐会以“80个小节环游世界”为主题，从中国经典作品《但愿人长久》到充满拉丁风情的《前奏与嘉年华》，曲目丰富多彩。其中，Paul Murtha改编的《Golden》尤为动人——这首昂扬的乐曲传递着坚韧与追逐梦想的力量，成为整场音乐会的亮点之一。

周六晚宴上，气氛再度升温——UISG的学生摇滚乐队METAPHASE应ACAMIS组委会特别邀请登台演出。这支由十一年级学生组成的乐队，在繁重的学业之余坚持音乐热爱，以一曲充满活力的四首连奏迅速点燃了全场。他们带来了Paramore的《Hard Times》、Maroon 5的《Sugar》、WALK THE MOON的《Shut Up and Dance》以及One Direction的《Live While We’re Young》，每一首都展现出乐队成员出色的舞台表现力和默契的团队配合。

然而，当晚的精彩并未就此结束。METAPHASE的演出结束后，乐队主唱们留在台上，与东道主学校的学生乐队即兴合作，共同演绎了The Eagles的经典作品《Hotel California》。尽管几乎没有时间排练，两校的年轻音乐人却默契十足，用音乐创造了一个动人的合作时刻，也再次证明了音乐跨越不同学校与背景的连接力。
从Honor Band的合奏到引爆全场的摇滚演出，UISG的学子们在ACAMIS音乐大会上留下了属于自己的精彩印记——他们用热情、努力与协作，证明了年轻音乐人可以创造真正令人难忘的瞬间。
