MUN at UISG
From March 6–8, UISG students concluded an intensive MUN season at RAMSMUN, AISG’s flagship conference. This year’s theme, “The Difference Between Right and Wrong,” arrived at a critical moment as delegates navigated the complexities of a fractured world and regional conflicts across the Middle East.
Our students rose to the challenge, composing thoughtful solutions to timely issues ranging from the ethics of artificial intelligence and advanced weaponry to the fundamental rights of refugees. While the conference was notably rigorous, testing our delegates more than any previous event, they persevered with characteristic focus and energy. The results were stellar, highlighted by one of our Middle School students, Landy Xuanqi earning the “Best Delegate” award in only her second conference.

Beyond the competitive speeches and resolution writing, the true highlight was an address by the Polish Consul General in Guangzhou. Drawing on 30 years of foreign service, he offered a profound insight when a UISG student asked about the most vital skill for a diplomat; his simple answer – “listening” – resonated deeply. It served as a powerful reminder that the heart of the United Nations simulation is the ability to listen deeply to another perspective before making impactful decisions.

This bridge between student simulation and real-world diplomacy provided a genuine growth experience, and we look forward to seeing our delegates continue to shape the world with these meaningful skills next season.

3月6日至8日，UISG的学生们在AISG主办的RAMSMUN旗舰会议中圆满结束了紧张的模拟联合国赛季。今年的大会主题“是非之间的抉择”恰逢其时，代表们需要直面一个分裂的世界与中东地区冲突交织的复杂图景。
面对挑战，我校学子展现出卓越的思辨能力，围绕人工智能伦理、尖端武器管控、难民基本权利等时代议题，提出了兼具温度与深度的解决方案。本届会议以超乎往届的学术难度著称，但代表们以贯有的专注与热忱迎难而上，最终斩获佳绩——尤为亮眼的是中学部学生Landy Xuanqi仅第二次参会便摘得“最佳代表”桂冠。

在激烈的辩论陈述与决议草案撰写之外，真正的华彩时刻来自波兰驻广州总领事先生的特别致辞。这位拥有30年外交生涯的资深使节，在面对UISG学生“外交官最核心的素养是什么”的提问时，给出了发人深省的答案：“倾听”。这个朴素而深刻的回答如钟鸣般回荡在会场——它提醒着我们，模拟联合国活动的真谛，正是在于作出重大决策前，首先要学会深度聆听异域之声。
RAMSMUN
这场架接在模拟外交与现实政治之间的桥梁，为学子们创造了真实的成长契机。我们期待看到代表们带着这份沉甸甸的收获，在下个赛季继续以更成熟的姿态参与世界议题的塑造。
