Dear UISG Community,
First, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the parents who have been attending our ongoing Korean University visits and information sessions at UISG. Your active involvement in supporting your child’s future educational journey is truly valued and greatly appreciated. We are excited to provide these opportunities for our Korean families!
UEF Family Day & The Dragon House Grand Opening – This Saturday!
I am delighted to invite you all to our annual UEF Family Day, taking place this Saturday, March 21 on the UISG campus, commencing at 10:30 AM. This year, we have a special addition to our celebrations: the Grand Opening of the UISG ‘Dragon House’ Boarding!
The opening ceremony will begin promptly at 10:30 AM and will feature a vibrant performance by Lion Dancers to mark this significant milestone for our boarding community. Following the ceremony, our UISG staff have organized a full schedule of activities for all ages, providing a wonderful opportunity for families to spend quality time together on campus.
The day will conclude with the Second Annual UISG Color Run, which proved immensely popular last year. Participants are encouraged to wear a white shirt and come prepared to enjoy this lively and colorful event.
Save the Date: Seussical Musical Preview – Next Friday
Looking ahead, I am pleased to announce that we will have a special sneak peek of our 2026 musical production, “Seussical,” taking place next Friday. I encourage you to join us in celebrating the hard work and talent of our students as they offer a performance of what promises to be a wonderful event!

It was a fantastic opportunity for parents and educators to connect, celebrate student progress, and collaborate on goals for the remainder of the year. Grade 3 Students Discover Real-World Sustainability at Guangzhou Heat Power Plant
Our Grade 3 students recently embarked on an inspiring educational journey to the Guangzhou Heat Power Plant as part of their “Sharing the Planet” unit of inquiry. During this eye-opening field trip, students witnessed firsthand how our city’s waste management system transforms everyday garbage into four valuable “treasures” that benefit both our community and environment: clean air through advanced filtration systems, reusable water for plant irrigation, recycled bricks made from burnt refuse, and renewable electricity generated from waste heat. This incredible facility demonstrated sustainable waste disposal practices that turn potential environmental problems into practical solutions. The experience provided our young learners with a powerful real-world connection to their classroom studies, showing them tangible examples of how innovative thinking and environmental stewardship are working together to reduce waste and protect our planet. Students returned to school with a deeper understanding of sustainability and renewed enthusiasm for their role as environmental advocates in their own community.

Learning Beyond the Classroom: Grade 7’s Chimelong Adventure
This past Monday, our Grade 7 students visited Chimelong Bird Park and had a really enjoyable and engaging day. Although it’s called a bird park, it also includes a range of other animals and is set in a large natural area, making it a great place for learning outside the classroom.
Students completed worksheets on the bus, during the visit, and afterwards, which helped them stay focused and reflect on what they were seeing throughout the day.
Some of the highlights included feeding the hippos by throwing vegetables into their enormous mouths, feeding sunflower seeds to parrots, and seeing animals like cows, pigs, and goats up close. Many students also enjoyed watching the birds in flight and taking photos with some of the more colourful species.
Overall, it was a really positive trip, and it was great to see students so engaged, curious, and clearly enjoying the experience.
ACAMIS Honor Band Music Conference

Over 170 talented young musicians gathered in Panyu, Guangzhou, this past weekend for the 2026 ACAMIS Honor Band Music Conference—and UISG students were proudly among them. Under the theme “Around the World in 80 Bars,” the ensemble presented a final concert featuring a globally inspired repertoire, from the delicate “Passerine” and folk-infused “A Celtic Celebration” to the local classic “Dan Yuan Ren Chang Jiu” and the uplifting “Golden.” Each piece celebrated a different musical tradition, yet together they showcased the unifying power of music.
For our UISG musicians, the experience reached far beyond performance. They collaborated with dedicated peers from international schools across the region, learned from distinguished conductors, and discovered the rewards of perseverance. Strangers became friends, united by a shared passion. As the final chords of “Golden” filled the auditorium, its message felt especially fitting: when young artists commit fully to their craft, the results are truly golden. The 2026 ACAMIS Honor Band will remain a milestone—a reminder that with dedication and teamwork, the possibilities are limitless.
Prom Night Magic – A Night to Remember!
What an absolutely magical evening it was!
Last Friday, the 13th, UISG brought La La Land to life as graduating cohorts G12 and G10 with G11 celebrated an unforgettable prom at the stunning Golden Lake Club House.
From the moment our students stepped onto the golden-lit dance floor, it was pure enchantment:
- Dazzling décor that transported us straight to LA’s dreamy skyline
- Incredible music and non-stop dancing under the stars
- Countless precious moments with friends and classmates
- That La La Land magic we all dreamed about
The energy was electric, the atmosphere was stunning, and most importantly—our graduates shone brighter than the stars above. This wasn’t just a dance; it was a milestone celebration of friendships, memories, and the incredible journey we’ve shared together.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this night so special—our amazing students, dedicated staff, and all who contributed to creating this unforgettable memory.
Here’s to dreams, friendship, and nights we’ll cherish forever!
UISG University Talk Series Recap: Chung-Ang University & HUFS
This week, UISG hosted successful campus information sessions with Chung-Ang University and Korea’s HUFS. Chung-Ang captivated the audience with video interviews of international students, highlighting its status as a top-five Korean university for research. Located in central Seoul, it champions student initiative, interdisciplinary thinking through mandatory double majors, and integrates AI across campus.
HUFS, however, emphasized it is more than a language university, showcasing cutting-edge AI convergence and the nation’s largest international network (685 partners). Its standout “learner-designed majors” allow students to create unique fields of study like “European Data Diplomacy.” Both universities stressed evaluating applicants on academics, career readiness, and community contribution. The series continues with a KAIST session on April 13th.

UEF家庭日 & 寄宿楼 Dragon House 盛大开幕 – 本周六！
诚挚邀请大家参加一年一度的UEF家庭日活动。本次活动将于本周六（3月21日）上午10: 30在UISG校园举行。今年，我们的庆祝活动将增添一项特别内容：UISG 寄宿楼 “Dragon House”的盛大开幕！
开幕仪式将于上午10:30准时开始，届时将有精彩的舞狮表演，以此纪念我校寄宿社区这一重要里程碑。仪式结束后，UISG员工为各年龄段安排了丰富多彩的活动，为各位家庭在校园内共度美好时光提供了绝佳机会。
当天活动将以广受好评的第二届UISG彩色跑作为压轴。参与者请穿着白色衫，准备尽情享受这场充满活力的色彩盛宴。

三年级学生探秘广州热力电厂，解锁可持续发展“变形记”
近日，我校三年级师生走进广州热力电厂，开启了一场别开生面的探究之旅。作为“共享地球”探究主题的重要实践环节，孩子们亲眼见证了城市垃圾处理系统的神奇蜕变。在这座现代化工厂里，原本被视为负担的生活垃圾，经过先进过滤技术化身洁净空气，循环水系统孕育出灌溉绿植的甘露，焚烧残渣涅槃为再生建筑用砖，余热转化源源不断的绿色电力——四重“变废为宝”的生态魔法让参观者惊叹不已。这座环保教育基地生动展示了可持续垃圾处理的创新实践，将环境挑战转化为城市发展的绿色动能。当课本中的环保理念化作眼前真实运转的生态循环系统，小探究者们深刻理解了科技创新与生态责任如何携手守护地球家园。带着对循环经济的新认知，孩子们纷纷表示要争做社区环保小卫士，让绿色种子在更广阔的土地生根发芽。

探索自然课堂：七年级长隆飞鸟乐园奇妙日
上周一，我校七年级全体师生前往长隆飞鸟乐园，开启了一场寓教于乐的自然探索之旅。这座依自然之境而建的生态乐园虽以“飞鸟”为名，却栖息着丰富多样的珍稀动物，为孩子们提供了绝佳的户外学习课堂。
行程中，同学们在大巴上、参观时及活动后认真完成学习任务单，始终保持专注的观察力与思考力，让每个瞬间都成为值得回味的成长印记。
最令人难忘的当属互动体验环节：将蔬菜精准投喂进河马巨大的嘴巴里引得阵阵欢呼；手持向日葵种子等待鹦鹉轻啄掌心时的屏息凝神；与牛羊猪兔等温驯动物零距离接触时的惊喜笑脸……而百鸟飞歌的壮观景象前，孩子们更是举起相机，争相与色彩斑斓的精灵们定格美好瞬间。
这场充满欢声笑语的生态之旅，不仅让同学们在真实情境中感受生命的多彩，更在他们心中播下了探索自然、敬畏生命的种子。
80个小节环游世界：2026 ACAMIS荣誉乐队音乐会议精彩回顾

刚刚过去的周末，170余名才华横溢的青年乐手齐聚广州番禺，共同参与2026 ACAMIS荣誉乐队音乐会议——而我们广州誉德莱国际学校的学生也荣幸位列其中。本届会议以“80个小节环游世界”为主题，最终呈现的音乐会上，乐队的演奏曲目横跨全球音乐版图：从细腻婉转的《Passerine》、融入民谣元素的《凯尔特庆典》，到华语经典《但愿人长久》以及昂扬振奋的《Golden》，每一首作品都承载着独特的音乐传统，却又在同一个舞台上彰显了音乐的凝聚力量。
对于我校的小乐手而言，这次经历远不止于演出本身。他们与来自多所国际学校的同道伙伴密切合作，在杰出指挥的指导下磨砺技艺，更深刻体会到坚持的珍贵回报。陌生的面孔因共同的音乐热忱而结为挚友。当《Golden》的最后一个音符在礼堂中回荡，其寓意愈发真切——当年轻艺术家全心投入，所创造的光芒确然璀璨如金。2026 ACAMIS荣誉乐队将成为一座里程碑，永远提醒着这群少年：怀着专注与协作之心，未来便有无限可能。
爱乐之城之夜：一场璀璨难忘的毕业舞会
多么如梦似幻的夜晚！
就在上周五，恰逢13日，广州誉德莱外籍人人员子女学校将《爱乐之城》的浪漫带入现实——毕业班G12与G10、G11的同学们在美轮美奂的金湖俱乐部，共度了一场终生难忘的毕业舞会。
从学子们踏上金色流光舞池的那一刻起，一切都化作纯然的梦幻：
- 璀璨夺目的装饰，仿佛将洛杉矶的天际线搬到眼前；
- 星光下的动人旋律与永不停歇的舞步；
- 与挚友同窗共度的无数珍贵瞬间；
- 我们心心念念的《爱乐之城》式浪漫。
现场活力四射，氛围绝美动人，而最耀眼夺目的——是我们的毕业生，比夜空繁星更加璀璨。这不仅仅是一场舞会，更是同窗情谊、青春记忆以及我们共同走过的难忘旅程的里程碑式庆典。

UISG大学宣讲系列活动回顾：韩国中央大学 & 韩国外国语大学
本周，UISG成功举办了两场高校招生宣讲会，迎来了韩国中央大学（Chung-Ang University）与韩国外国语大学（HUFS）的招生官到访。
中央大学通过播放在校国际学生的视频访谈，迅速抓住了在场家长和学生的目光。作为韩国排名前五的研究型大学，中央大学位于首尔市中心，积极倡导学生的自主探索精神，通过必修双专业制度培养学生的跨学科思维能力，并在校园内全面推行人工智能技术的融合应用。
韩国外国语大学则充分展现了其超越“语言大学”的多元面貌：宣讲会上重点介绍了走在时代前沿的人工智能融合学科，以及韩国高校中最庞大的国际合作网络（与全球685个机构建立了合作关系）。其独具特色的“学生自主设计专业”制度尤为亮眼，允许学生根据兴趣创造全新的跨学科研究领域，例如“欧洲数据外交学”等。两所大学在宣讲中均强调，在评估申请者时，将综合考察其学术能力、职业准备度以及对社区的贡献潜力。
本系列宣讲活动仍在继续，下一场将由韩国科学技术院（KAIST）于4月13日带来精彩分享。
