Last week, the Week Without Walls came to life in various vibrant forms tailored to the different age groups. K-Y2 students embarked on forest school day trips to Dapuwei, a picturesque natural haven. Here, they were immersed in hands-on activities that explored the intricacies of light and sound within this stunning local environment. Under the guidance of experienced educators, the children observed how sunlight filters through the canopy, listened to the symphony of bird calls and rustling leaves, and participated in interactive experiments that illuminated the scientific principles behind these phenomena.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the K3-Y2, the adventure took them to North Latitude Forest Camps, where they delved into the rich tapestry of Chinese traditional arts. They learned the ancient technique of tie-dye, exploring the art of creating vibrant, swirling patterns on fabric using knots and dye. Additionally, they engaged in leaf printing, a craft that celebrated the beauty of nature by pressing leaves onto paper to capture their unique textures and shapes. These activities not only nurtured their creativity but also fostered an appreciation for China’s cultural heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here, they participated in team-building exercises, outdoor exploration, and stargazing sessions that ignited their curiosity about the cosmos. The experience allowed them to develop resilience, adaptability, and a deeper connection with their surroundings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They visited local landmarks, participated in workshops that explored Hong Kong’s history and culture. This international exposure broadened their horizons, instilling in them a sense of global citizenship and fostering empathy and understanding for diverse cultures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By stepping outside the traditional classroom walls, our students are empowered to grow into well-rounded individuals who are not only academically accomplished but also globally aware and emotionally intelligent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
