Visual Arts at UISZ<\/span><\/h3><\/div>\n\t

The Arts are a key aspect of the curriculum at UISZ. For students in the Primary Years Programme K3-Y5, the arts are offered as specialist subjects or taught within the inquiry units. The areas incorporated into the PYP programme are Visual Art and Music. In the MYP programme, Visual Arts and Music are offered as subjects to study. In the IB Diploma programme, students are offered a choice of Visual Arts, which incorporates multi-media and Drama\/Theatre Arts.<\/p>\n

Here at UISZ, our students aim to discover the unique and original nature of the Arts. Our transdisciplinary (PYP) and interdisciplinary (MYP) approach supports students in learning how to think creatively and critically when responding to arts and media, how to engage in self- and social reflection to create effective and meaningful arts, and how to develop intercultural understanding when learning about arts in a local and global context.\u00a0 We celebrate creativity via our Winter Festival of the Arts, student art exhibitions, and special events throughout the school year.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n
