New Outdoor Education Site in Xiangwo This past week, our Grade 3 students had the privilege of being among the first to experience our new outdoor education site in Xiangwo. It was inspiring to witness their teamwork and enthusiasm during this camp experience. We look forward to hearing about all the adventures from our Primary students who participated in camps this week. This new facility represents our commitment to providing enriching, hands-on learning opportunities outside the classroom.
象窝新篇，学子初探。上周，我校三年级学子有幸作为首批体验者，踏入位于象窝的全新户外教育基地。营地之中，同学们齐心协力，热忱洋溢，他们的蓬勃朝气与协作精神让人振奋。我们亦殷切期盼聆听本周参与营地活动的小学各年级孩子们所经历的奇闻趣事与成长感悟。此全新营地的启用，不仅是一处场所的拓展，更是我们践行全人教育理念，于课堂之外为孩子们开辟更为丰富、更具实践性的学习天地的坚定承诺。
Save the Date: UEF Family Day – March 21
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce UEF Family Day on Saturday, March 21, at UISG. This special day brings together both campuses for connection and activities for all ages. The day begins at 10:30 a.m. with the grand opening ceremony of the new UISG Boarding House—a significant milestone for our school community. We particularly look forward to the Color Run at 1:00 p.m. and hope to see many of our families from both schools!

This has been a fabulous week!
This week, our G3–G5 students had a wonderful time at our “Week Without Walls” camps. These camps are an essential part of our program and the IB PYP framework. They provide vital experiential learning opportunities that allow students to take risks, develop independence, and apply classroom knowledge in real-world contexts. By stepping outside the traditional classroom, students strengthen their Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills and embody Learner Profile attributes such as being Risk-takers and Open-minded.

本周，我校三至五年级学生在“无墙周”营地活动中收获满满。这类营地活动是课程体系及IB小学项目框架的重要组成部分，为学生提供了宝贵的体验式学习机会，让他们敢于尝试、培养独立性，并将课堂知识运用于现实情境。通过走出传统教室，学生们不仅强化了学习方法（ATL）技能，更践行了学习者特质——勇于尝试与开放包容。
Guangzhou Zoo Visit For our younger students, visiting the Guangzhou Zoo was a fantastic opportunity to connect with our current Unit of Inquiry regarding Communities. The trip allowed students to observe how different animals have specific roles within an ecosystem, mirroring how humans support one another and hold different roles within our own communities. This transdisciplinary experience helped make the abstract concept of “community” concrete and meaningful for them.
广州动物园之旅：当学习遇见真实世界
对于低年级学生而言，广州动物园之行是一次与当前“社区”探究单元深度联结的绝佳机会。通过这次实地考察，孩子们观察到不同动物在生态系统中各司其职，这与人类在社区中相互支持、扮演不同角色的方式何其相似。这一跨学科体验，让“社区”这一抽象概念在孩子们心中变得具体而真切。

On Wednesday, during our monthly House meetings, students in Water and Earth Houses came together to have a dodgeball competition. Thank you to Chris Yun, one of the Water House Captains, for organising this.

DP2 Mock exams DP2模拟考
We had a full week of mock examinations. The DP2 students have had a big workload as they complete practice assessments for each of their subject externals. The final mock exam will be on Monday for Maths AA. Well done to all of you for your focus throughout this time.
这一周，DP2学子们在模拟考的战场上执笔为剑，为每一门学科的外部评估倾注全力。周一的数学AA考试将为这场模拟考征程画上圆满句点——致敬每一个专注的身影!
